Similarity Policy

Similarity and Plagiarism Screening Policy

To maintain academic integrity and originality, INTENS (Journal of Information Technology Science) implements a strict plagiarism and similarity screening policy for all submitted manuscripts.

  1. All manuscripts submitted to INTENS will undergo a plagiarism check using reliable detection tools such as Turnitin or iThenticate before entering the review process.

  2. The maximum similarity index allowed is 20%, excluding references.

  3. Manuscripts exceeding the 20% threshold will be returned to the author for revision or rejected without further review.

  4. Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts and for properly citing all sources in accordance with ethical standards.

  5. The editorial board reserves the right to re-check the similarity report at any stage of the review or before publication.

  6. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism or duplicate publication, will result in immediate rejection and may lead to a submission ban for future works.

  7. INTENS follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling any ethical misconduct or plagiarism cases.
