Similarity Policy
Similarity and Plagiarism Screening Policy
To maintain academic integrity and originality, INTENS (Journal of Information Technology Science) implements a strict plagiarism and similarity screening policy for all submitted manuscripts.
-
All manuscripts submitted to INTENS will undergo a plagiarism check using reliable detection tools such as Turnitin or iThenticate before entering the review process.
-
The maximum similarity index allowed is 20%, excluding references.
-
Manuscripts exceeding the 20% threshold will be returned to the author for revision or rejected without further review.
-
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts and for properly citing all sources in accordance with ethical standards.
-
The editorial board reserves the right to re-check the similarity report at any stage of the review or before publication.
-
Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism or duplicate publication, will result in immediate rejection and may lead to a submission ban for future works.
-
INTENS follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling any ethical misconduct or plagiarism cases.
