Publication Ethics

INTENS (Journal of Information Technology Science) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
This policy ensures that all published articles reflect academic integrity, scientific honesty, and professional responsibility among all parties involved in the publication process.

This ethical policy applies to authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.


Authors’ Responsibilities

  1. Authors must ensure that their submission is original and has not been previously published elsewhere.

  2. Authors should avoid all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism.

  3. Data and findings must be reported accurately, honestly, and verifiably.

  4. All sources used must be properly and fully cited.

  5. Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.

  6. If significant errors are discovered after publication, authors are obliged to notify the editor for correction or retraction.


Reviewers’ Responsibilities

  1. Reviewers should provide objective, professional, and constructive feedback, focusing solely on the scientific content.

  2. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality during the review process.

  3. Reviewers must not use any unpublished material for personal advantage.

  4. Reviewers should avoid conflicts of interest with the authors or related institutions.

  5. Reviewers are expected to deliver clear, specific, and timely feedback to assist authors in improving their manuscripts.


Editors’ Responsibilities

  1. Editors are responsible for ensuring that each published paper meets scientific quality and ethical standards.

  2. Editors must act objectively and impartially in making publication decisions.

  3. Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all manuscripts and the identities of authors and reviewers.

  4. Editors should recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest.

  5. Editors are responsible for addressing ethical concerns, including suspected plagiarism or data manipulation.


Publisher’s Responsibilities

  1. The publisher ensures that all publication processes follow ethical and academic standards.

  2. The publisher supports editorial independence and does not influence editorial decisions.

  3. The publisher cooperates with editors to handle ethical violations or academic misconduct professionally.
